Terms of use

These terms cover the Side website (sidefocus.app), the waitlist, and the iOS beta. Until a legal entity name is confirmed, the operator of Side (sidefocus.app) provides the service. Contact: support@sidefocus.app.

Service

Side is a beta. Features change. Rooms may be empty. We try to match people across timezones so someone else might be there, but we do not guarantee a partner at a given hour.

Accounts

You are responsible for what you post in rooms. Goals are visible to others in the room. Do not harass anyone, post illegal content, or scrape the service. Goals are stored so the room can show them. They are not end-to-end encrypted.

Beta

TestFlight software is pre-release. It can break. Data may be reset. The waitlist is an invite list, not a promise of access on a specific date.

Intellectual property

The Side name, mark, and site content belong to the operator. You keep rights to your own goal text.

Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is.” Side is not medical advice. Some people with ADHD use body doubling; that is a use case, not a clinical claim.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, empty rooms, or beta software that fails. Liability for the website and beta is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the prior three months (currently zero). This is a short limitation for a free beta; counsel should review it before launch.
